Topic 1 Question 96
You have a Cloud SQL instance (DB-1) with two cross-region read replicas (DB-2 and DB-3). During a business continuity test, the primary instance (DB-1) was taken offline and a replica (DB-2) was promoted. The test has concluded and you want to return to the pre-test configuration. What should you do?
Bring DB-1 back online.
Delete DB-1, and re-create DB-1 as a read replica in the same region as DB-1.
Delete DB-2 so that DB-1 automatically reverts to the primary instance.
Create DB-4 as a read replica in the same region as DB-1, and promote DB-4 to primary.

I disagree with B. Requirement is to return to pre-test config (primary in same region as original db-1). Only D accomplishes.

C A: WRONG. This will have two primary instances, and DB-3 is still the read replica of DB-1. B: WRONG. DB-1 can't be deleted. DB-3 won't automatically recognize DB-2 as its primary. C: CORRECT. D: WRONG. This option implies two ways: 1. DB-1 can't create DB-4 replica on stopping state, DB-3 can't create DB-4 replica, either. 2. Although someone could create DB-4 replica from DB-2 and promote, this won't make DB-3 knows DB-4 as its primary.
